I expect the market to remain bullish at the current levels. The Nifty end is expected to end the current derivative settlement, which closes this Thursday, around 5,100-5,200. What is the year end target for the Sensex? As said above the markets are in bullish mode and are likely to see new highs soon. The BSE benchmark index, the Sensex, may hit a new life-time high either by December or the end of fiscal year 2010. Likely triggers for the markets? Internal triggers like inflation will have little impact as there has been a tsunami of fund flows from outside in India. He expects the fund flows to increase in the coming months. Any particular sector which you are looking forward to? Pharmaceutical and FMCG are the two sectors where I am very optimistic. Capital goods and IT, too, look interesting. On the negative front, realty sector looks weak in the near term. Your view on telecom stocks? Currently, there is no clarity in the telecom sector. There are various issues including the on-going price war, which has seen many companies reducing call rates. Number Portability too can be a matter of concern going forward. Hence, i would prefer to avoid this particular sector until and unless some clarity emerges.
