KVB net profit jumps 28%
Karur Vysya Bank has reported a net profit of Rs 75.87 crore for the quarter ended December 2009, registering an increase of 28 per cent over the corresponding period previous year. The bank had reported a net profit of Rs 59.25 crore in the same period last year, Karur Vysya Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Markfed's canned-food export to rise to Rs 10-12 cr in 2009-10

But in the last one year demand from countries like Australia too has increased a lot, Markfed Cannery unit sources said here. Last year, Markfed exported Rs 8 crore worth of canned food, while this year it is expected to rise to Rs 10-12 crore, they added. Some new products, including pickles and murabbas have been launched and export orders for these also have started pouring in, they said. In the near future, apart from canned packing, pouch packs of the processed vegetables would also be launched for easy transportation, they added.
